A professional writer for more than 25 years, Jay sold or has had optioned more than half a dozen original screenplays in a wide range of genre: dramas, thrillers, comedies and children's/family.

He won the Grand Prize in the PAGE International Screenwriting Competition for MONKEY RIVER, a children's drama he co-wrote with Laurie Weltz (ABOUT SCOUT; WRESTLING WITH ALLIGATORS). In addition to his LOVE CHILD projects, he is currently shopping EGGINO AND THE COCONUTS, a children's feature-length screenplay.
